Last year was so great for Raising Cane Ranch-we planted a new food forest and opened Riverview Road Cidery which had such a warm show of support from our community. We offered "Cider Pressing Parties" to groups who got a chance to pick and press their apples onsite while making a social event out of it. The farm was highlighted at a national agroforestry conference showing the many agroforestry projects Nick has created. And we participated in Brewfest where we made so many fans of our cider.
Looking at 2024, we are busy renovating our old cow barn into the cidery space with an indoor tasting room which will be a big improvement from our pop-up outdoor tent. We will have fun games, a better sound system, and interesting flavors sourced from what we grow. Of course, Nick will plant hundreds more trees and shrubs. We still hope to have the farm stays up and running but that has been a slow process with the cidery being the main focus, so stay tuned. The people who visit the farm year after year or for the first time and are so excited to be here really make the work sustainable for us. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you this season!
