Flood Update ... morning of 12/12/25 pt. 1

First of all, thank you to all the people who have reached out, checking in on how we're doing, and offering to help in any way. We are touched by that kindness! We wish there were more people could do; it feels helpless waiting for the water to go down. This has been really challenging, lots of anxiety, lots of wondering if our dike system will hold up with this record-level water over this many days. And we're still very much living this reality. The water has only minimally gone down, and we continue to take on more. I made these videos so you can see what it's been like for us. Nick and I stayed here, worked day and night with our neighbors, taking shifts to assess how the dike and driveways are doing, so we can hopefully get through it with minimal damage.
